We want to empower our partners in the Dutch market to achieve their goals. Below are some of the landmark transactions we are proud of:

We continue to support Tennet with our leading European Debt Capital Markets franchise to raise Green financing to fund their extensive capex programme driving the Dutch and German energy transition. Tennet is one of the largest issuers of Green finance instruments with over €12b issued since 2015 and we are delighted to have been part of this journey, as recent as in May when we advised the company on a €1.8b Green Bond transaction, its largest Green Bond issuance to date.

Global food retail giant Ahold Delhaize addresses the important issue of food waste with its inaugural Sustainability-Linked Bond. The EUR 9-year SLB is the first ever to include a food waste target in its ESG linked KPIs, in addition to its carbon footprint. This underlines the brand’s values of overarching healthy and sustainable mission. BNP Paribas is delighted to act as joint bookrunner.

NN Investment Partners (NN IP) and BNP Paribas entered a strategic partnership to further support growth and boost their share of the European renewable energy loans market. Both NN IP and BNP Paribas want to increase their investments in renewable energy in order to contribute to a more sustainable future. NN IP is targeting to invest €500m in renewably energy loans via this partnership with BNP Paribas. The partnership perfectly fits the shared ambition of NN IP and BNP Paribas in making renewable energy more accessible to investors, while allowing them to increase their commitment to the energy transition.

JDE Peet’s, the world’s largest pure-play coffee and tea group by revenue, has announced that it’s working on the inclusion of an ESG Framework on their €2.5b facilities as part of their broader €6.5b debt refinancing. At BNP Paribas, we are delighted to support JDE Peet’s, together with ING, as Sustainability Coordinators, in delivering positive environmental and social impacts across global coffee chains.
