THE ROLE
We are looking for a highly motivated and talented graduate to join our Global Markets IRFX Solutions team based in the Netherlands. The aspirant candidate will work with a dynamic team of professionals who cover Dutch and International corporate clients, and are passionate about delivering exceptional high quality services to their customers. The young graduate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with these clients, identifying new business opportunities, and executing trades in the fixed income FX and Interest Rate derivatives market. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the team in executing trades in a variety of FX and Interest Rate hedging products.

Develop and maintain relationships with the team’s clients, and provide exceptional customer service

Develop significant understanding of the client’s organizations, business and operating models

Analyse market data and economic indicators to identify trends and opportunities in global markets that meet client’s needs.

Work on compelling client presentations that effectively communicate trends, ideas and strategies to clients.

Collaborate with other teams such as coverage banking, trading, research, structuring, and other sales colleagues across EMEA, APAC and Americas, in order to provide clients with comprehensive solutions.

Sell the banks global platform across products

Uphold the highest standards of conduct to protect the bank.

QUALIFICATIONS

University degree in finance, economics, engineering or a related field.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills and ability to interpret financial data and market trends.

Ability to undertake a number of issues simultaneously, as well as the ability to work under considerable pressure.

The position you’re applying for
As Senior Cash Management (CM) Sales Executive, you will initiate sale opportunities and lead the sale of cash management products to clients in scope of BNP Paribas the Netherlands target client group. You will build a strong pipeline and convert these into wins. The Senior CM Sales Executive provides technical and commercial assistance to the Client Coverage teams.

Your responsibilities

Ø  Target sales opportunities with existing and new clients and guarantee in time and excellent quality proposal initiation in response to those opportunities or to RFP’s received. Corporate Tax Officer – Center of Amsterdam, 40 hours/ fulltime

Position:

In a small team, you’ll be analysing, reviewing and advising the Business Lines and Group Departments on Dutch corporate taxes involving all three BNP Paribas Divisions (CIB, CPBS and IPS) and their respective Business Units (a.o. Your profile:

LEGAL COUNSEL

The position

You will be based in Amsterdam and will be working directly with Corporate and Investment Bankers in providing them legal advice on transactions with clients. In addition you will support other BNP Paribas group entities from outside the Netherlands with legal queries that might arise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice, in particular with regards to bilateral and syndicated loan documentation (LMA), security and other ad-hoc documentation
  • Negotiating, reviewing and writing banking law related documents, loan contracts and security documentation, templates, tender documents and other legal documents as required by the various business lines
  • Rendering effective legal advice and assistance in the preparation of legal opinions, studies, reports and correspondence as required from time to time by offices in- and outside The Netherlands.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in law. Degree in Dutch law is considered a plus
  • Additional education in Banking Law such as an LLM would be considered a plus
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role within a financial institution or law firm
  • Good knowledge of LMA standard documentation
  • Ability to analize legal issues quickly and to provide comprehensive and pragmatic solutions
  • Ability to draft and edit a variety of documents in English (and preferably Dutch) in a clear and concise manner

Cash Management Service Manager – Corporate & Institutional Banking

Position:

Acting for daily servicing activities as the single point of contact answering the Cash Management support and product requests of BNPP Corporate clients. Main objectives for the Service Manager is to produce the best client satisfaction possible and to maintain the standards of excellence of the BNPP Cash Customer Service team ( CCS) on daily servicing request for the Largest Corporates clients.  

The CCS aims to provide Largest Corporates clients with an end-to-end quality of service on their Daily Servicing requests.

Responsibilities:

To ensure a customer-experience driven daily servicing: 

  • Offer a positive experience to the client
  • Understand client requirements to simplify requests
  • Answer any question related to business as usual Cash Management support requests

To manage Cash Management incidents:

Depositary Officer – Fulltime, Amsterdam, M/F

The position

Within Securities Services, the main role of the Depository & Fiduciary Services teams (DFS),wherever they operate, is twofold:

  • Discharge the Bank’s oversight responsibilities on the fund managers (and their trading activity) and any other stakeholders (eg fund administrators, agency lenders, clearers, collateral agents,…) relevant to the funds we are appointed trustee or depositary for;
  • Oversee the operations of any other departments of the Bank involved in its discharging its trustee or depositary responsibility, eg custody and specialist safekeeping teams.

In addition to performing post trade investment compliance monitoring in a fiduciary capacity, we offer this service in a commercial capacity in a number of markets, eg Luxembourg, France, Germany, Ireland, Singapore, the Netherlands and increasingly in the UK. This service is offered primarily to asset owners, bundled with other ‘master custody’ types of solutions.

The main responsibilities

The Depositary Officers interface objectively between the clients and the regulatory authorities and are responsible for a wide spectrum of control services including asset valuation controls, ownership verifications, NAV controls, risk and compliance controls. The main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Analysing fund investment portfolio’s and verifying ownership (securities, derivatives & alternatives)

The requirements

  • Masters degree in  finance or (financial) economics or controlling
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an financial/controlling related area, within  the Fund Services field (Institutional Investors business). Experience in OTC trades, stock trades and corporate actions is a plus as well as knowledge of the AIFMD and UCITS.
  • Native level Dutch and fluent English (this is an absolute must!)
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of fund activities and asset classes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box

Corporate Banking Coverage Intern

BNP Paribas S.A. located in Amsterdam offers you the opportunity to immediately integrate in the Corporate Coverage team in The Netherlands of one of the largest banks worldwide. We seek highly motivated Master students or graduates for a five to six months internship. The internship is on a full-time basis only.

Daily tasks:

  • Support the bankers in their day to day work;
  • Contribute to the development of pitch books, monitoring market & sector developments, and assist on ad-hoc commercial projects (Event Driven Finance, Debt and Equity Capital Markets as well as the Strategic Dialogue);
  • Supporting on the implementation of international transaction banking and lending deals;
  • Work with credit analyst team for ongoing credit requests (annual reviews and ad hoc requests);
  • Perform ESG assessment of our client base;
  • Assisting in collection of legal, Compliance and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) information, feed internal systems and liaise with Due Diligence and Compliance teams for further distribution.

We are looking for:

  • A graduate or a master student in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Econometrics or another relevant field. In case you have a different background, though with a strong interest in banking, you are also encouraged to apply. 
  • Strong communication skills – ability to liaise across business lines and geographic regions in order to ensure effective delivery of credit proposals and client services.
  • Other competencies: analytical, client focused, team player, result-driven, fast-learner.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and in writing, Dutch is considered a plus.

Op welke functie solliciteer je?

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het technisch beheer van een aantal organisatie kritische applicaties. Je werkt hierbij nauw samen met collega’s werkzaam als functioneel applicatiebeheerders, systeem managers, IT-architecten, security officers, data quality officers en externe support- en ontwikkelpartijen.

  • Je bent onderdeel van het team IT Production en rapporteert in deze functie aan de BeNe Head of IT Production.

Jouw werkzaamheden

  • Er is een productie-incident die behoorlijk technisch is, vertelt een functioneel beheerder. Je helpt dit op te lossen of een slimme work-around te bedenken.
  • De vulnerability scan heeft potentiele kwetsbaarheden gerapporteerd. Je gaat na of we daadwerkelijk gevaar lopen en plant indien nodig een aanpassing om het issue te verhelpen.
  • Je checkt twee interfaces, omdat ontwikkelaars daar vragen over hebben. En je zorgt dat de interfaces nu en in de toekomst op de juiste manier werken.
  • Het development-team is bezig met applicatieontwikkelingen. Ze hebben technische vragen waar jouw hulp bij nodig is. Jij, als ons technisch geweten, stuurt ze bij.
  • Je denkt met de IT-collega’s van onze Belgische vestiging mee over een bepaald productie-incident.
  • Je implementeert een nieuwe release van Liferay op de acceptatieomgeving en dit stem je af met onze software testers. Ook controleer je de logs op onverwachte foutmeldingen. Waarschijnlijk kan deze de volgende dag al naar preproductie, mits de testers en de business het goedkeuren.

Wie ben jij?

  • Je hebt minimaal een afgeronde bacheloropleiding in de richting van Informatica, aangevuld met minstens 3 jaar ervaring met troubleshooting van organisatie kritische applicaties, het Appian platform en Talend ETL.
  • Je heb goede kennis en ervaring met VB6, Visuals Studi (VB.NET,C#) en JAVA (J2EE), Graphtalk, API-ontwikkeling en SOAP/XML/Json. Daarnaast vinden we het belangrijk dat je basiskennis hebt van databases zoals Oracle (Developer), MSSQL (Management Studio) en SQL.
  • Je beschikt over organisatievermogen, je hebt een analytisch denkvermogen, je bent kritisch en je kunt goed samenwerken.
