We are looking for a Corporate Banking Coverage Intern for our Corporate coverage department, that is situated within BNP Paribas SA Amsterdam Branch.

We seek highly motivated Master students or graduates for a six months internship. The internship is on a full-time basis only. The start date of the internship is 01 September 2025.

The position you’re applying for/Your new role

The Corporate Banking Coverage Intern is situated within CIB Netherlands in Amsterdam and reports directly to the head of Corporate Coverage CIB Netherlands. 

You are the driving force for new developments and preparing stable delivery of change to production and will overlook the change process from beginning to end. Main goal is to continuously optimize and professionalize CIB Corporate Coverage Netherlands and to contribute to the CIB Corporate Coverage and overall strategy.

Your responsibilities

  • Support relationship bankers in their day to day work;
  • Contribute to the development of pitch books, monitoring market & sector developments, and assist on ad-hoc commercial projects (Event Driven Finance, Debt and Equity Capital Markets as well as the Strategic Dialogue);
  • Supporting on the implementation of international transaction banking and lending deals;
  • Work with credit analyst team for ongoing credit requests (annual reviews and ad hoc requests);
  • Perform ESG assessment of our client base;
  • Assisting in collection of legal, Compliance and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) information, feed internal systems and liaise with Due Diligence and Compliance teams for further distribution.

Who are you

  • A graduate or a student in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Econometrics or another relevant field. In case you have a different background, though with a strong interest in banking, you are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to liaise across business lines and geographic regions in order to ensure effective delivery of credit proposals and client services.
  • Other competencies: analytical, client focused, team player, result-driven, fast-learner.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and in writing, Dutch is considered a plus.

What will be your tasks? 

Your main responsibility will be review and approval of all technical and maintenance requests from garages and communication with our suppliers. This job will grow your technical skills and will keep you updated about the trends in automotive industry. You will come across of most automobile brands and improve your technical background, even if you are not skilled automotive specialist yet. The communication languages of this department are Slovak, Czech, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Hungarian, Polish and English.

  • You will communicate with our networks of dealers and other suppliers via email and telephone, approve requests via B2B platform
  • Ensure and manage regular and exceptional maintenance operations in relation with garages, dealers, body shops and specialized tire service providers
  • Review incoming cost estimates regarding tires, service maintenance and repair (SMR), damage repair and relief vehicles for our clients
  • After check of all positions, you will create an approval in our internal system/platform, focusing on contract details and optimizing costs
  • Inform proactively account management in case you discover repairs which may be caused by the driver and driving behavior
  • In case of damaged car caused by other vehicle, you contact the insurance
  • In case of any doubts, you discuss with the team or contact local technical expert before taking any action
  • Providing of technical specifications of the contract (covered positions, client exceptions, relief vehicle in contract, insurance details, tire size, etc.)

What skills/experiences are necessary for this position?

  • motivation – cars, cars, cars 🙂 – we are looking for a team mate, who is interested in cars and would not mind conversations with garages about technical maintenance of vehicles
  • communication – Dutch + English are the main language skills required as you will be supporting Netherlands

A Multi National CoverageRelationship Manager(MNC RM) is the key-representative of BNP Paribas towardsthe customer group defined as Multinational Coverage Relationships. Member of the Coverage Team, you will be mainly in charge ofa portfolio of Contributor clients, i.e. local subsidiaries whose parentcompany is already a client of BNP Paribas (Pilot Company) in its home market. 
You’ll work in close coordination with the Pilot RMs abroadand implements the strategy jointly defined. You will grow your client base by on-boarding new Contributorrelationships, proactively contacting members of the BNP Paribas Coverage Teamabroad to forge introductions. You will report to one of the local Corporate Coverage Head of ClientGroup. You are in close contact with the Pilot RMs in the different countriesabroad, in order to understand the Group structure of your clients such as toleverage the local market opportunities. You will train and work closely with the Associate(s) of theClient Group. 

Your responsibilities

  • Act as primary Contributor client entry point for anyclient need and maintain client relationship at adequate level (mainly C.E.O.or C.F.O.)
  • After having understood the global organization of theclient’s Group, define the possibilities of developing the local business withthe Contributor.
  • In coordination with the Pilot RM abroad and the localBusiness Lines, originate Corporate Coverage products (especially CashManagement, Trade and FX/IRG flows) according to the clients’ needs and thusincrease revenues and cross sell for his/her clients.
  • Prepare and share Client Action Plan on most importantclients or at request of Pilot RMs
  • Ensure the updating and accuracy of the CRM tool (callreports, status of opportunities and deal pipeline management among others)
  • Monitor risk and contribute to the credit applicationin cooperation with Credit Analysts.
  • Maintain regular contact with the Pilot RM to beupdated on the evolution of the mother company.
  • Ensure Compliance with Bank’s policies/procedures(especially KYC and AML/Sanctions) and regulatory requirements, in particularwith regards to the KYC responsibilities and duties, as per relevant policiesand procedures and the summary of responsibilities list attached hereto.
  • Ensure that the business carried out with his/herclients is appropriate, understandable and suitable.
  • Act in a product-neutral manner in the best interestof the clients and of the BNP Paribas Group globally.
  • Participate, when required or needed, to workshopsaiming at developing the global efficiency of the BNP Paribas Group.
