Global Foreign Exchange boosts sales coverage in Amsterdam

BNP Paribas is pleased to introduce its new Foreign Exchange set-up in Amsterdam with the appointment of three newcomers: Diedert Wesselius, Martin Knol and James McHardy.

Diedert joins as Head of Foreign Exchange Sales for the Netherlands and will be reporting directly to François Boisson, Paris-based Head of International Sales. Martin and James will be assisting him as Senior Foreign Exchange Sales, along with Arnoud Doornbos and Julian Ames. Diedert spent 10 years at ABN AMRO, most recently as head of distribution to Top Tier corporate clients and corporate client risk advisor. Martin comes from Citibank in Amsterdam where he spent three years as a Foreign Exchange Advisor after a five-year job experience in Shell. James was formerly on the corporate and institutional Foreign Exchange sales desk at Citibank and started as a currency options trader. Commenting on the new hires, Loïc Meinnel, Global Head of Foreign Exchange, said, “ The Dutch market has been identified as a key market for our industry in terms of size and prospect for opportunities; these hires further illustrate Global Foreign Exchange’s ambition to significantly grow sales activities with Dutch corporate clients and develop its franchise with the Pension Funds industry.”
